Store bought half as nutritious as homemade

A recent study from the University of Glasgow on store bought baby food has been making the rounds in the UK and Europe:

Baby food from shops half as nutritious as homemade meals, study finds

Catchy headline.  The study (or maybe more accurately, the journalistic reporting of the study) probably echoes what most mothers who make their own baby food are already feeling:  homemade is better.  Although, half as nutritious – that’s a surprisingly big difference.  Whether homemade is twice as nutritious or some other factor, the conclusion is still the same:  homemade is better than store bought.  There is a convenience that comes with store bought foods.  I can only hope that Squeeze Please can help parents get that same convenience as they take homemade out on the road with them.
